PERSONALITY
Luca has a passion for life and a major competitive spirit. Nothing about Luca suggests that she would ever give up on a single dream of hers, and she is constantly full of energy. Every so often, she will be struck with something from her past, or some memory of Giovanni, that will wear on her a bit, but she will always bounce back from such thoughts, easily jumping back into the action.
As a gijinka, her life is somewhat spent trying to prove herself and this is also something that wears on her mind, but nothing could ever dissolve her flame in it's entirety. She seeks to show the world what a gijinka is made of, and that her previous ties to Giovanni don't necessarily make her a bad person.
Still, she can get a bit aggressive. Competition is not something that she takes lightly, and no matter what she will do her best to always win. A competition never ends for her, and she can never lose quietly.
Her partner, her eevee, with of course be a flareon the moment that the money for it is available. The fire stone will make Luca and her partner the same pokemon, and the bond between those two will practically never break. Luca has the instincts of a flareon, smell, speed, etc. as well as a small amount of fire is able to be produced and played with by Luca.

HISTORY
Luca was part of Giovanni's original experiments with gijinka. Giovanni was attempting to make a gijinka who could evolve, and narrowly succeeded. She was born as a little eevee girl, and slowly grew up until one day when Giovanni decided she was old enough to finally be evolved. Across all their time together, both in attempts to train Luca and simply raise her to be a decent fighter, Luca accepted Giovanni as a father. After all, her human genes had to come from somewhere. The two bonded profoundly, and she thought that he actually loved her as a daughter. She had been mislead, and lied to in this regard.
The procedure was successful, exposing Luca to the fire stone gave her features akin to a flareon, but it was intensely painful and unwanted. The flareon began to go against the man she had accepted as her father, refusing to take place in further tests. The Veridian Gym had been her home for so long, or at least the underneath of it had been slightly hospitable. That day though, Luca was thrown out onto the street, away from anything she'd ever known.
With a bit of asking around, people seemed to think she was younger than she is, the average guess was 15. So, she was instructed to find her way to Prof. Oak's lab, and get a pokemon. Luckier still, most people seemed to think she was simply wearing an odd costume, rather than actually being a flareon herself.
