welcome to the kanto region!
Kanto Kraze is an AU Kanto region Pokémon roleplay. This means that the canon characters who drive the plot--Gary, Ash, and any other trainers in their midst--never existed. Gym leaders such as Misty and Brock exist, but never met Ash or did anything like that.
The Kanto region has always been home to many fantastic Pokémon and trainers, with many diverse areas and even the ever famous Safari Zone. The region was always famous for two things, the strength of its Pokémon league, and its strong Team Rocket presence because of it. These two things simultaneously drew and pushed away people from the region.
Recently though, police in the region have begun to become suspicious of the activity surrounding the gym in Viridian City. Rumors fly that a mob boss runs that gym, and that's how his Pokémon are so strong. This is irrelevant though, as Giovanni has bigger plans than running a stupid gym. He began to experiment with the fusion of Pokémon and human, for years he tried this again and again, coming up with many partial successes and failures.
He wanted to make stronger Pokémon, by fusing the DNA to make a smarter version of Pokémon. Many psychic types were made this way, but every failure was kicked to the streets, thinking they would quickly die. He tried each and every type and every kind of person, but he was never fully successful in getting a gijinka who could be caught in a Pokeball or use moves. He's still trying and throwing money at the lab, but they're not making much more progress at the moment.
Soon he may put bigger missions into action to fund his experiments. When the time comes, will you join the cause against Giovanni, or will you join up with the good and put a stop to his plans?
