progression & traveling As with any Pokémon site, it's important to discuss the world and how characters interact with it.
- As a stand alone Pokémon, be aware you can't get anywhere fast, but you need not worry about gyms unless you have a trainer.
- As a human or gijinka though, the site is somewhat linear. While you are technically free to go anywhere/do whatever you want, the gyms are leveled linearly, as they are in the games. Each route as well is leveled as they are in the games.
- While on the topic of routes, they all have the type of Pokémon you'd see on that route, from each generation. This over populous of Pokémon is part of what is drawing so many people and gijinka alike to the region.
- Any non-Pokémon character is required to begin by going to Prof. Oak's lab and get a Pokémon. Even so, your starters are not quite so limited as the original three, check the lab for more information.
- The gyms do not need to be challenged in order, but they are leveled in order, so it'll be difficult to challenge them out of order.

threading The different kind of threads on Kanto Kraze are modded, social, and one shots. Here, when a thread is finished, mods will read the thread and reward you accordingly:
- For a modded thread, you will be rewarded in rare candies based off word count/page count (on top of the exp earned in that thread already)
- For a social thread, you will be rewarded in money based off the contents of the thread (character development, relationship building, etc.)
- In a one-shot, the thread will essentially be graded, and will be given reward at the whim of mods, taking into account what happened in the thread and whether it furthered your character, etc.
A couple notes on one-shot threads:
- You may not encounter wild pokemon in them. These are mostly for the hatching of eggs or heavy bouts of exposition.
- No matter how long it is, do not double post. Whether it looks nicer to spread apart or not, keep it one post. This is to keep people from making one event into 20 different posts and getting extra money.
- One-shots must be at least 500 words long. This is also somewhat prevention of system exploitation.
